Jason Eastman and Jon Irvine demonstrate some of the white belt student curriculum compiled, written, and implemented by Jon Surritt, during the training year of 2009.

Jason Eastman stated to Jon Surritt on numerous occasions, "My San Soo has vastly improved since knowing you again."

Jason Eastman was Jon Surritt's student in the kids' class at Master Al Rubin's Kung-Fu San Soo Studio (Riverside, California) back in 1986 and January 1987.

Jason Eastman stated to Jon Surritt in December 2009, "You have been more than fair to me; you have been extremely generous."

  • @SanSooSifu -----> I think you meant to say, VERY "bad" habit of getting back up to their feet, leading with their face. But, I understood what you were trying to say.

  • @SanSooSifu -----> What you see, at the beginning of the video clip, is the proper way to get back up from the ground once you breakfall. Good San Soo involves integrating the recovery drill with the breakfall drill. To be honest though, Jason Eastman and Jon Irvine both need some additional work on their recovery portion of the drill. However, that is why it is called "practice" because there is always room for improvement; and that goes for all of us (no matter what the rank or colored belt).

  • For the absolutely WRONG way to get back up to your feet after the breakfall drill watch YouTube video clip "ICSU Kung Fu San Soo (White Belt 03)" at the 5:19 minute mark. You do NOT want your students getting in the VERY habit of getting back up to their feet, leading with their face. That is a SURE way to eat a punch, kick, or knee on your way standing back up. Hopefully, you won't be spitting up some teeth after making such a grievous error in judgement.

  • Yes folks, Jason Eastman meant to spell, Right "Shin" Kick To The Groin; and not Right "Chin" Kick To The Groin, at the 1:15 minute mark.

Yes folks, Jason Eastman meant to spell, Right Kick To His "Femoral" Artery; and not Right Kick To His "Femmoral" Artery, at the 3:38 minute mark.

Yes folks, Jason Eastman meant to state, Some Call This A "Cracker" Barrel Punch; and not Some Call This A "Wheel" Barrel Punch, at the 4:55 minute mark.
