No, the dance IS West Coast Swing, but I'm not surprised that you got confused, the music in country and they weren't very good at it.

I love when the narrator says: "Michael dancing with... Michael? Not a problem..."! I reminded me so much of the "not that theres anything wrong with that scene" in Seinfeld.

AS MUCH as I hate to see women with dress and cowBOY boots, the girl in the pink dress makes it work. Nice dress and great styling. She's got the energy in every move down to the her fingernails and hair tips. I'll bet she would look great in those nice ballroom shoes. Great job lady in pink dress (guy too).

@wonson19 My guess is that you've never danced the West Coast Swing or if you're a gal you haven't had a partner with a good strong & smooth lead. Also, Pedro- you can do the WC Swing to most any music - even Cha cha.
