  • Love worzel he always had a cheeky side to him. My favourite character.

  • I met Jon Pertwee 30 years ago at a Doctor Who Convention that was held at The Beacon Theatre in NYC and he mentioned this show. He said that the producers were unsuccessful in finding a US sponsor (Quaker Oats was the primary company approached) which was why most of us Yanks have never heard of this charming series. I'll look in on these downloads and hunt down the eps on DVD. Thanks for posting this lost classic.

  • oh i love Jon in this and Doctor who i wish i had met him!

  • @LudwigTricorn Thanks, that was a quick answer! Hm their dad seems to be quite a loser, maybe they're just looking for a real role model? Thinking about it, 12:00 is quite a nightmarish scene.

  • @Hundspost Yes, he says "They don't have their mother now", which I think means she has passed away.

  • Thanks so much for uploading, I saw this last time as a kid on German TV (they did a German synchronization). There was so great TV programs for children in this era. Always found it a bit spooky though when he changes his heads ;-)

I wonder, is the mother of the children passed away? I think he explains at 6:20, but I didn't quite understand (not a native speaker).

  • I used to love this show when I was a kid.If i saw Worzel looking at me through the window at 12.12 I woulda shat a brick

  • An absolute British classic

  • I love this so much. I so wanted to be Charlotte Coleman´s character Sue, when I was younger. Worzel was wonderful, but Aunt Sally was so awful. Can anyone speak Worzelese? Ha!

  • classic absolute classic

  • madness me an nancy were watchin worzel the other night...lol
