I've been waiting for THIS Chuck and Blair since.... well since 2x25 if I'm honest and since 3x17 if I want to pretend I loved them during the beginning of season 3 (they could have been done so much better).
Him letting her go is exactly what they needed. It's exactly what will bring them back together in the end.
The moment they try to let go something brings them back together, this time a pregnancy which binds them for forever.
THIS episode made Chuck and Blair, ChuckandBlair again. My favourite scene since 4x02 hands down.

Ever great couple has their quote: (Nair) = Blair saying "Always have always will'
(Chair) = Chuck saying " I will always love you but I need to let you go"
Of course Dair, Serenate, Derena, Jate etc have theirs too but these two are my favs.
