High Powered rocket with Go Pro HD onboard climbs to 82km and releases a custom built aluminum case with the GoPro HD inside. Rocket is the REXUS 910. The experiment was successfully recovered.. This was the onboard camera of the experiment featured GoPro Hero HD in custom built case.

About the Camera

More about the GoPro onboard. GoPro's HD Hero is the world's highest performance 1080p HD on-board video and still photo camera. Professional quality 1080p, 960p, and 720p HD resolutions record at 30 frames per second (60 fps in 720p).



About the Rocket

"After almost one and a half year of work the SQUID project reached its ultimate goal. On February 23rd the SQUID experiment was launched together with the REXUS 10 rocket. The experiment was successfully recovered and more details about the results will follow later. In the mean time check out the video from the onboard camera of the experiment which is available at the SQUID YouTube channel."

  • What about that sound? Sounded like the spring resonated with whatever there was in the space...

  • Nice video, but I don't see why you don't just say that you used a balloon like everyone else. You can blatantly see the balloon when the video kicks on and several times through the video.

  • So you can build a rocket, but have no clue how to cut off the first minute of video with windows movie maker.........
