Heartwrenching cover of the XTC song...a commentary on the authenticity of the traditional portrayal of the universal construction which shockingly retains its creationist ideologies. To question is to illuminate.

  • gotcha, thnx.

  • "Dear God" is a song on XTC's 1986 album Skylarking. It was not a part of the original Skylarking album, but after DJs across America picked up the song, Geffen Records decided to replace "Mermaid Smiled" with "Dear God." The song was inspired by a series of books with the same title, seen by lead singer Andy Partridge as an exploitation of children.[citation needed][1]

  • @bluebatman13 yes i realized that later, thank you i am going to change it now...thank you for the info, it is good to know someone who pays attention to detail!! Feel free to drop by anytime.

  • @GodisTruthseekTruth Dumbass.

  • While this version is good, I'm surprised how many people think it's a Sarah McLachlan original. Even a close friend was surprised when I was talking about the XTC original.

  • what's with the human transmutation circles??

  • Astounding that at this stage of human evolution and in spite (/denial) of the blatantly obvious, there are still so many confused, gullible, quasi-schizophrenic people selling their souls to a few religious maniacs.

Ironically though, it's thanks to them that songs like this are so poignant.

  • i was not going to make a comment but fanitics all fantics jew,christ..musilems....trinity of death are the main factor of why i cannot comprehend in a higher power .!!!!!! kingdom of god, does not exist judgement will not happen!!!oh i belive a MAN named jesus , mohamed,krishna,exc..did exist.BUT THAY WER ONLY MEN THATS ALL..D.MFRS

  • @GodisTruthseekTruth u are one cheeky cunt mate i swear

  • @GodisTruthseekTruth Again....You're a liar. You continue insisting without evidence. Proof is the burden of the believer, not the non-believer. Stop talking and start proving. Oh yeah...things that don't count as proof are: The Bible, Faith, Good deeds, supposed "miracles", ......personal experiences that you can't prove to other people also don't count as proof. Your Lord is worthy of nothing because he does not exist.

  • @bluebatman13 ..I have "Mermaid Smiled" and "Dear God" on my copy of Skylarking.
