Here I play hurdy-gurdy made by Shonan Usagi Instruments in Japan in 1980s.
I'm not quite good at this instrument because I haven't yet practiced it at all.
From now I will do.
"Kunne-cup" (means 'the moon' in Ainu) is my original guitar solo tune, and here I arranged it for hurdy-gurdy.

  • Well, for starters, you ought to tune the instrument up to a higher pitch..... then, you've got some serious problems with that wheel. Once you fix those, and learn how to set the strings up properly, how to cotton, rosin, etc......... *then* we'll see what you can get out of this gurdy.

  • Thank you for the advise.

Yes, I'm completely beginner for this instrument, so your advise is very useful for me.

  • How much do they cost i want one. Very cool.

  • Thank you.

I offered it to "Shonan Usagi Instruments", a maker in Japan about 20 years ago.

I searched for Europian maker, and found it costs at least 500 Euro.

  • はい、実は持っていたのです。

    オークションで売ろうとしましたが買い手がつかなくて、どうせな ら自分で弾いた方がおもしろいかなあと思い、今練習しています。
