A nostalgic gathering of friends Friday enjoyed an evening of refreshments, food, music and dancing to bid goodbye to a Priest Lake monument. The famous, and often infamous, structure at the old Kaniksu resort will soon be a thing of the past as its replacement and refurbishment transforms it into the clubhouse for the new Kaniksu Sands development.

There were many memories of the former dance hall traded between Priest Lake "old timers" last night as Mike Wagoner and Jack Purdy provided their musical background. Fred and Ruby Johnston hosted the party that drank a toast to the former structure and a few more toasts to the architect's renderings for the beautiful new structure that will occupy the site in the future.
