YAMATO is a product of the Dragon Gate dojo, and quickly aligned himself with Final M2K after graduation. However, that alliance didn't last long, as he would leave the group, wanting to find his own path. After a brief learning excursion to the United States, YAMATO returned, and aligned himself with Shingo, BxB Hulk, and Cyber Kong to form the New Hazard stable. The stable came to an end as YAMATO seemingly betrayed New Hazard, though it was all a ruse, as the core members of New Hazard united with the Muscle Outlaw'z to form Real Hazard. There, YAMATO, Shingo, and Gamma won the Open the Triangle Gate Titles. After the trio lost, regained, and once again lost the belts, YAMATO teamed with Cyber Kong to win the Open the Twin Gate Titles a week later. As it usually happens, though, problems started rearing their head in Real Hazard, and after losing the Twin Gate belts, YAMATO left Dragon Gate altogether. He reappeared in New Japan for their Best of the Super Juniors tournament. While YAMATO was eliminated early, he had a strong showing even in defeat, and also managed to defeat Koji Kanemoto and Jushin "Thunder" Lyger in convincing fashion. Upon his return to Dragon Gate, the problems with Real Hazard hadn't subsided, and he would leave the group, and join Shingo's Kamikaze stable, and the together, the two are the current Open the Twin Gate Champions. YAMATO has also been featured on the Dragon Gate USA shows, in which he defeated BxB Hulk, and continues to antagonize Mike Quackenbush. YAMATO is also a participant in the upcoming 2009 Super J Cup, and is considered by some to be a favorite to win it all. The Cross Bone Vanguard can bring YAMATO victory at almost any point in the match. Being an experienced Pancrase fighter, it makes sense that YAMATO likes to use a Doujime Sleeper to finish off his opponents. However, most of YAMATO's opponents' greatest fear lie in the beast of a move called the Galleria.

  • Whatever happened to your Dragon Kid vid?

  • I've essentially done away with anything Dragon Gate, since they canned my last account.

  • IMO could've used a Tiger Driver if you'd had the material for it. Figure you didn't. lol

  • Indeed. Finding non-DG footage of YAMATO wasn't too easy.

  • Any possibility of Genki Horiguchi getting a top ten

  • Not enough usable footage.

  • Big wrestlers like Show and Goldberg usually have good spears. Anyone else and it looks like a running hug. *looks at Edge*

  • I like YAMATO Because of his Style. Mixing the Pancrase and Strong Style and He is a Badass. He is a Badass Face in Dragon Gate Japan and a Bad Ass Heel in Dragon Gate USA.
