  • This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

  • @MsBluebooboo Thanks. Glad you're catching this as well as other items of Appalachian culture. BTW, I see you're a Julie London fan. She was originally from Santa Rosa, about 40 miles from where I live in Northern California.

  • Not a problem. Glad you listened. Remember, we were just a bunch of old folk! I get a lot of responses to this one from Kentuckians. Good luck with your choir's performance.

  • Hey Bob, Love this! Only a year late getting to it! Beautifully sung.

  • Thanks, Jim. This is the one that connected us, when I found you had put up your version. Of course, you provided a bonus with all those ducks and cats...and snow!

  • Wow, you guys are sounding really good.

My choir is performing this song as well.

Keep up the good work :]

  • Thanks for you kind words. Although most of my postings are of our praise band (good stuff!), we have some choral pieces in addition to this one. You can tell them from the picture. Of note: I KNOW THAT MY REDEEMER LIVES, SET ME AS A SEAL UPON YOUR HEART, WERE YOU THERE, and I'M SO GLAD.

    Best wishes with this song!

  • I've heard many more polished versions, but I absolutely love the unrefined genuine joyousness of this version as much, if not more, than those.

  • i really don't like this set up.....my school chior is singing this.....our version sounds better....no offence ment....sorry if i sound mean.

  • i don't like this arrangement

  • Every year my youth group comes down here from chicago and helps out those in need- primarly in construction

  • Listen to voices from the heart in Portsmouth, NH sing the same song. 200 voices strong.
