A 'desecration of the original art' form would throwing paint on the mona lisa. This video is more like LHOOQ.

I found this while looking for the original. I'm no fan of current culture but I think this is fun and enjoyable. I certainly wouldn't call it a desecration of the original artform. I think it's very much in the upbeat spirit of the original.

If someone wants to put a modern song on here so that others can get into it and appreciate the dancing part, that is ok with me.

Calling it a "mashup" doesn't change anything. It is a desecration of the original artform. There are plenty of original clips with the original music. This kind of thing just makes it harder for people who are searching for them.
