  • Does anyone have a copy of the Ballad of John and Yoko by the Hollyridge Strings? I haven't heard this since 1976 and it is excellent.

  • i have not this song...

  • I love the Hollyridge Strings! They are true to the Beatles' arrangement. This has always been one of my favorites.

George Harrison sang this so beautifully in 1963.

  • These are the kinds of songs that are my "little secrets" because most people would think I'm weird, amoung other things, for liking it. But who cares? I can listen and enjoy them all by myself :P

  • Love the Hollyridge Strings and "Do You Want To Know A Secret" is probably my favorite Beatles' song. Thank you for a grand post - absolutely lovely, really.

  • Thanks, my friend Chuck, I love The Beatles HR Strings' arrangements too.

  • I, too love HR Strings' arrangements of Beatles music - I put all I could find on a playlist just for this group. They have the swing/bounce of Ray Conniff's arrangements, which I've playlisted 260 of ! ! ! The most fun is that 'old' people listen to the Beatles and do not know it ! ! ! !

  • Another Beatle gem. I love the HR Strings - they stay true to the Beatles' arrangements.

Remember how sexy George's voice was when he sang this little gem in 1963, the Ford Falcon Era? Wait, and then there was "I'm Happy Just to Dance With You" from "A Hard Day's Night." George was a runaway TRAIN of talent! John wrote it, but once George sange it, he gave it that special stamp. I just LOVE this one!

  • Thanks for the reply bodjan1323! Hopefully another fan of Hollyridge Strings might have it.

  • they also did the 4 seasons music.
