*SPOILERS*
Actually, I think he did die. At least he got a heart attack, shown by the last few seconds of black. Also, he has nothing left. Pam is gone, his daughter is gone, no one cares for him.

Excellent job of reviewing this great film. The only thing is I don't get how its anything like "Rocky" - theyr'e in a ring and there are crowds (although much smaller ones in "The Wrestler)( - thats about it as far as I can see.

I Don't Think Dat He Died. No Reason.
-
two words can describe how i felt about this film...absolutely brilliant!
Give Rourke his Oscar!

by kids like you i did not mean in type i ment kids as in about 3-12 years old. if you had any understanding of the message of the movie you would know what i am talking about and that he died... your are die hard about your idea that anything could have happend, the near death expierence before happend before we saw he would do anything to please the crowed infact that match was implicating that, that was his life, thats who cheared him on thats why he did the ram slam to his death
-
Fuck you man anything could've happened he most likely died but throughout the fucking movie he has near death experiences but pulls through "not kids like me" man fuck you. you don't even know me you youtube toughguy
-
its kind of clear that he did, the last moments as he stands on the top of the ropes and you see his face and the crowd cheering, he knows hes fucked once he does that. the guy he was wrestling tried to tell him to just end it but he wanted to please the crowd. this is why its rated R for people who can understand it not kids like you
-
Nah I had the privlige to met him at the Marriot in houston. He was real cool down to earth. I spent some time with him. The only thing is he is a average sized guy. In the pic I took with him I tower above him.

At Wrestlemania?
Robo, I think you missed the point of the movie. It was not about the sport. This film was a character study sort of like Raging Bull. A brilliant one too.
