There are many sources of facts about the anti-cancer properties of this plant! I encourage you to read a scientific/medical journal with articles on the subject. And if one wants to completely avoid any risk of carcinogens or tar produced by smoke, cannabis can be consumed by making edibles (brownies, cookies, lollipops, butter, etc.) or through a vaporizer.

I would love to find my medicine at a store, with names for different strains that let me know the different effects they may have, rather than waiting in a car in a dark parking lot and giving a thug some money and waiting for him to come back with some nasty mass-grown chemical sprayed, brick weed!!!! (true story, I've had to go through lots of trouble to obtain medicine)

It's just a plant. Water, sunshine, soil. Nothing more. Nobody seems to understand that. Legalize it because I'm tired of going to the hood to get it. I would much prefer to grow it alongside my tomato bush and blackberry vines in my gated subdivision where I don't run the risk of being jumped for being a white guy in a Volvo on the other side of town.

Unfortunately, the federal government has routinely blocked research into the medical benefits of marijuana. And no one is willing to spend a fortune getting cannabis through FDA approval because it's a plant. You can't patent a plant so how do you get your investment back?
