Our journey to the island nation of Anguilla continues as we hit a favorite local eatery called Tastey's. This Caribbean style restaurant...which seats about 50 people...was started by a local Anguillan man who began his career working as a kitchen boy at one of the big hotels and went on to become the celebrity chef of the island. We tasted Dale Carty's authentic Anguillan grilled whole snapper with rice and peas ... watch it all now on the "WatercoolerDiaries" on KBTVonline!
Its a great place if your only going for 2 weeks, the most unwelcoming people in the Caribbean, they dont even like other islanders. Now they are forcing all non Anguillans out.

During our trip we had a chance to meet a lot of Anguillans from whom we learned some interesting facts about their small island nation. For instance...the name Anguilla means "eel"...a name probably given for its long, narrow shape...it was first coined in 1493... about the time Christopher Columbus was reported to have sailed past Anguilla. Don't forget to leave your comments in the box provided! ;-)
