The Sankeertana is one of the 32,000 sung by Sri Annamacharya in praise of Lord Venkateswara. The keerthana is an address to the devotees of the Lord to listen with great enthusiasm; and assimilate the essence of the story of the Lord, Vishnu Katha.
Song sung by Ms Nitya Santhoshini.

Meaning

Sri Annamacharya, in this Sankeerthana, describes that the mere listening to the Story of the Lord (Vishnu Katha) is as sacred a duty as to perform nitya karmas, for instance, Sandhya. The story of the Lord is a cushion to the devotee for keeping his life going happy just as a child is slept comfortably by its mother. The story of the Lord is what Vyasa Maharshi drawn quintessence from the Vedas and elucidated, into a soft and lucid tale. The story of the Lord is what Narada sings while roaming the three worlds! The story of the Lord is as fragrant and fresh as the cream and butter that has freshly emerged out of the buttermilk obtained by the ladies of the cowherd family. This story that sings the name of Lord Venkateswara is the Gateway to His abode. So, listen and relish the quintessence of the Vishnu Katha with great vigour and enthusiasm !!

  • Thanks for the song.. But the person who compiled photos for this song has to be educated properly. Ramyagiri gaaru, at 0:33 .. you put the photo of Rama who is worshipping Shiva.... Its absolutely trash.... Rama or any avatar of Vishnu never worshipped Shiva. .... Even in one Purana also they mentioned Rama worshipped Mahadeva... Here in context Mahadeva is not Shiva...That is Brahmam none other than Vishnu himself.

  • @apsrtcksrtc kindly refer to Ramayana..or Legend behind Rameshwaram Temple where Sri Rama workshipped Lord Shiva! that place is now called as Rameshwaram.. means Ram and Eshwar(shiva) - as told by elders and also you can refer to various websites!

  • only fools like will differentiate between Shiva and vishnu. Observe the meaning of the following sentence.

    Shivaya vishnu rupaya Shiva rupayavishanve

Sivasya hrudayam vishnu hu Vishun scha hrudayam shiva

Yada shiva maya tadha vishnu hu

MAY GODDESS PARADEVATHA SOWER HER MERCY CONTINUOUSLY ON THE SINGER FOR FURTHER SINGING SUCH KEETHANAS.

    KUCHI SATHYANARAYANA

  • siva and vishnu are one and the same.....lets realise all gods are ONE.....

  • @desidol22 Hello mr desidol22 ... here nobody is saying that bogus or anything..we are just clearing the doubts....

  • you know i always found it sad that people on youtube argue who's religion is better, but now im seeing people of the same religion arguing that half the religion is bogus and its even sadder.

  • @apsrtcksrtc wow Brahmam is not just Vishnu, in Nirguna form its just a single supreme entity, in Saguna form it is the Trimurti (Brahma, Vishnu. AND Shiva) The universe is a cycle of creation, preservation, and destruction, it cannot exist otherwise.

  • @iamyagna Ha Ha ha ..

  • This song sung by Ms.Nityasanthoshina is very superb. Really, hers is immortal voice. Our Blessings to her. ... SeethaLakshmi and Sai Prasad.
