  • Also take 2 fingers and turn them over after hitting their back 3 times, and put your fingers, in the middle of their chest and press 5 times quickly about a inch or so deep, and then repeat if the food is not lodged out

  • You NEED to put that baby's head WAY LOWER than his body, ok and hit with the PALM of your hand, my sister teaches CPR, God bless

  • Great job Jen!

  • @shippo47 Sorry I hope you dont mind me adding that :) great advise though! I'd definitely trust you with my children.

  • Putting your finger in their mouth can lodge it into their throat more. Thats something you'd want to avoid as well as patting the child's back. which could make them gasp and lodge it in further. Lay the baby on their belly and gently hit their back. Its the best option-be sure to support their head and open their mouth-If that Doesnt help you should lay them on their back and carefully push upward below the rib cage. This is similar to the Heimlich maneuver and helps you avoid hurting the baby.

  • thx for the advice p.s. he is so cute
