100% right on the standard of living gets raised and then they feel we're too expensive and they move and you can't compete with some chinese that earns 1/10 of what you do.... i live a modest life but as little as my expenses are it's still more then some factory worker gets for working all month in china

Actually, it makes more sense for the companies to have rookie drivers. I am currently leased to swift (i know), for each rookie they hire, they get paid the cost of the school which is $5,000.00 then when the student completes school, the government gives swift another $10,000.00. Then swift pays the rookie driver $0.25 per mile. Even I am left sitting so the rookie drivers can get the loads. Swift has also started sending more and more freight by rail.

Not to mention, r pay this year has been so low, we have only been able to go home twice for the whole year!! We have a mortgage and a car payment...While r pay has went dwn, everything else has went up..utilities, insurance the list could go on forever...Don't even get me started on the road expenses...the price for food has went through the roof and the quality of it has went to shit, Am I the only one that is hungry right after I eat a meal? The portions are so sad and have no nutrition..

This is by far my favorite video that you have made.....My husband and I are a 13yr team...We have taken 2 pay cuts this yr alone that are flat out disgusting..We now make less per mile than we did when we started in the business..This is totally unacceptable..May I mention also, we both have flawless driving records.. Which is hurting us right now, b/c companies no longer want quality drivers, they want rookies..Totally failing to realize those rookie drvrs r cost them a lot more n the end

I agree 100%. The only transportation sector that seems to be profiting from NAFTA is the railroads. The only Free thing in NAFTA is what you will be working for. I am a firefighter and I consider myself lucky that I am looking at a 10% pay cut in 2010 instead of loosing my job. Buy American! And if you can't find it made in America, then buy from a non-communist country. USA the new and down-coming socialist third world country. Good luck to you Bad Bear and keep speaking out.
