In this video I give a full in depth tour of a very low mileage 1990 Sonata, the first generation. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle. I also show some comparison clips of the 2011 sonata. In this video You might notice the sound go in and out during some exterior and engine portions, there was a belt squeak and kinda muffled it a bit, but it didn't effect it that bad, you can still hear me just fine. just wanted to give an fyi for those who were wondering what was going on with the camera and sound. Just bear with me during those scenes. The majority of the video is perfectly fine, thanks!

  • this is so cool that you found this...thanks for posting

  • Twenty years ago when I was looking for a car I seriously thought of that model of Sonata, because it seemed like an amazing value for such a large car. A lot of people complained about the so-called plain styling but I actually really liked the lines of the old Sonata. What scared me away from buying one was that in those days, Hyundai's reputation was not the best--though today I wonder if I made a mistake. Seems like those old Sonatas really were good cars.

  • @jakesaintsrow123 no, I bought it after i crashed my 1993 Chrysler Imperial due to being T-Boned by a drunk driver. I bought it in 1999 after my crash. The car had no rust, and was in nearly perfect condition. I did make a video about it in and old Hi8 analog camcorder, but as we all know, that was before the days of Youtube! That Hyundai outlasted my other car, a Ford Escort, 1986, which the 1.9L engine blew. :)

  • @EdmDude did you Buy it new in 1985? Today I Saw a red 80's Hyundai Pony

  • WOOHOO! Hyundai! I used to own a 1985 Pony GLS, and that thing ran forever! All I did was replace the cassette headunit with a Panasonic and installed Sony speakers into those little 4"inch speakers they came with! The car had the 5 speed manual trans. and also came with those weird covers over the rear window. The car went thru 2 alternators, the fan belt broke while on the highway, but other than that, it survived -30 Canadian Winters, +40 Summers, and make the trip from Edm to Van flawlessly.

  • What's funny is it's become an exclusive car in its own right; so many of these were sent to the crusher by the end of the 1990s that they're about as rare as most Bentleys.

  • I just found this video. very cool. i did not know hyundai was in the states this long

  • prefiero el de 1990 me gustas los clasicos

  • @ge90777 he owns all those cars..
