  • This show always had the greatest "Winner's Circle" wins!

  • The timer hitting zero beat them, yes. But the rule is that time is up when the buzzer sounds. I downloaded the video and listened in super-slomo. It was a good call that they beat the buzzer. Just barely, but they did.

It's an arcane rule, but that's actually allowed because she said "pat" first. Once she put "pat" on the record, he is allowed to use it to prompt the longer word.

  • how many times did Markie Post won $25,000 for a contestant?

  • Markie Post rocks!!!! She is a good player!!!

  • That win and Charlie Siebert's $10,000 Win with Gary both appeared in the 1986 flashback intro clips at the beginning of the show.

  • Yes, Gary was a solid champion, too!

  • No, it was OK because Markie had already said "pat". If the receiver gave part of the answer, the giver was then permitted to use it for a clue to indicate to the receiver he or she was on the right track. There was a very similar rule on Win, Lose or Draw - if a guesser said part of the answer, the artist was permitted to write that part on the board to indicate to the guesser that he or she had that part correct.

  • Picky, picky, picky.

  • Shouldn't have gotten it. He was getting desperate with 1 second left, he started to say "Pat... pat..."
