  • Homeless guy = $0

    Fed Government = -$14, 000, 000, 000, 000

  • $14 Trillion in debt is about the same as the GDP. It is, however, slightly less than the roughly $17 Trillion that has gone to the Wall Street bailout.

  • @jeremycpack I would love to agree but unfortunately no, you see people forget that soviet union at one stage was the most powerful nation on the planet, and look what happened in the 90's, although US does not have the sociopolitical problems USSR had, US has many problem also which will bring it does to the point of collapse. Just read the news from time to time and you will see the cracks getting larger every day. China will also collapse, just study the chinese bubble & u'll see.

    Peace

  • great scare mongering!

  • @Vigilantes68 The Universities in the Philippines are extremely under funded, over crowded, and have very little to offer in general. I cant believe your even trying to argue that they compare to US Universities seeing is how you claim to work in the US and have seen US Universities. My advice to any one here in the Philippines would be go abroad, get a kick ass degree from a first world country then come back to the Philippines after awhile and earn huge wages at a low cost of living.

  • @Vigilantes68 Every major company based in Manila only hires Engineers educated abroad, all flight simulators in all Philippine airports are run by foreign Engineers, The largest Construction firm Philippine Sundt here in Makati is Scottish owned and all Architects and Engineers are from Europe or the US. NAIA3 was constructed by a Japanese company. All Department heads at Saint Luke's were educated in the US. I could go on and on.

  • @Vigilantes68 As far as you working for a fortune 500 company and pulling in 105k a year congrats. Maybe your an intelligent guy and have excelled in your line of work. The discussion we were having was about the quality of secondary education in the Philippines (i.e. is it worth it for someone in the philippines to pay extra to attend college in the USA), and I am saying .... secondary education in the Philippines is worthless.

  • @Vigilantes68 If you had to go to an agency to get your degree approved then it was not accredited. Their is no Engineering, Science, or Medical curriculum in the Philippines that is accredited. They may have programs (I know De La Salle advertises here in Manila a joint program with tests etc ... to test and get accredited) but no degree here in the Philippines itself is accredited.

  • @lion575 As I said earlier your comments here are worthless since your facts couldn't be substantiated since I got my education from the Philippines, and currently employed in a Fortune 500 company and earning an annual salary of more than 105K with perks and benefits. I believe that's worth something you moron. And yes you don't know what your talking about.

  • @lion575 Oh really now... kindly check your facts before you even say such rubbish. You said, "you can not get an accredited science degree in any school in the Philippines" Fact is I got my science course accredited with credentialing agencies here in the U.S. of which it was stated that my education was at par with the educational institutions here in the U.S. And that ultimately led me to take my board exams here in the U.S. So please do your research.

  • @Vigilantes68 As far as US degrees being worthless, well .... If you major in liberal arts or business or some field that has no purpose other than making you seem well read .... then yes, but if you get a science degree or engineering degree (which by the way you can not get an accredited science or engineering degree at any school in the Philippines) then you are guaranteed a salary upwards of 80k a year at some point early in your career.

  • @Vigilantes68 Yep - I went to MIT undergrad(#1 rated Engineering in the world) and Georgia Tech for Grad School (#3 rated Engineering in the world) where I also taught, now I've been living in the Philippines for nearly a decade and have a former Engineering professor from UP Manila on my staff (The highest rated college in the Philippines by US News and World Reports as well as OXford College Guide) .... yet I dont know what I'm talking about. Sorry but Degrees in the Philippines are worthless

  • What about all the money sent to these foreign countries? Will they pay back the USA? Don't come here and leech off our system! Where I live we have almost as many foreigners going to college than US citizens that get free money from our government and scholarships. Most of the foreign countries send their people here for their military training. Yes we have problems as thr ones with the most money pay the least taxes and that needs to change.

  • brilliant!

  • That's because a lot of lazy people and unionize workers in the US. >30% have food stamps and the government tolerated those lazy people.

  • Only China may seem like challenging the USA, and that will end in a War. Almost all military countries (Like US and most of West Europe) get out of their financial crises with Wars. Maybe that explains why USA is involved in so many wars in recent times. This video also does not give the facts that some other countries owe us money too (though not as much as our debt). USA is a capitalistic country, meaning it won't go bankrupt too easily. If USA was communist, it may be a different issue

  • this is kinda the "big picture"... and in an ideal world, this would be true, but it isn't, and USA is nowhere near its end. this doesn't really show other factors involved. For example, ONE factor is that USA is the biggest military power in the world. USA is borrowing money, yes, but you really think that they will ever pay that money back? They pay that money back in another form, it's called protection, meaning somebody fucks with you, we got your back.

  • what are people disliking this for?? wake up, fuckers!

  • My sister is going to the US to live with her friend for a while. Hope she doesn't get any nasty surprises!

  • If you go by this logic, the US should be able to print its way out of the debt, because by devaluing the dollar, it will help its own factories become more competitive on labour costs, leading to greater employment, ending the recession and also paying off the debt with lower costs (since the dollars they pay back are worth less than the ones they borrowed). So why aren't they doing it? Because the video gives too simple an explanation of the real problems.

  • @NamronYap sorry buddy ,the name fooled me,during the korean war i served with princes pat canadian light infantry, got banged up a bit,for what, you tell me....another war we didn't win....

  • @johnnior I am Canadian and we are your biggest trading partners, if you fall we fall too.

  • @NamronYap if it wasn't for all the free loaders we'd have money in the bank,i say america first you guys last,is it better wher you come from?then go back if yes....you people are bleeding us dry.....

  • @wj0102 Ever wondered? the mayans said the world will enter "a new age" in 2012.. Who said anything about natural disasters? A global economic meltdown is worse than any disaster..

  • @TapanKhatri America is screwed, you are just in denial.
