  • Powell died in the second 100

  • Powell 200m?!

  • @devidia you hold more speed by resisting "straining" for speed. its counterintuitive but it works exactly like that. if you arent doing it in your current running..try it- immediate PB..i took nearly an entire second off my PB when i finally decided i'd try it in an actual meet. conversely ive seen others tie up so badly, striivng for speed, that they slow so much its ridiculous..

  • @rcaddict72 thats saying it's holding back in the last 100meters...

  • @devidia actually its like 100% for the first 120m then 90% for the last 80m..

  • @Visionary0001 i dont think you know how to run a fast 200m. the key is to turn it off over the last 80m..and accept deceleration. those who decelerate the slowest appear to be running the fastest.. its a huge illusion as the last 100m is 0.5-1.5m/s slower in speed than the first 100m.

  • weak race, they should all lose their record deals

  • asafa powell COULD HAVE WON THAT EASLY if he wouldnt have had that tendinitous issue on his legs.. he was gone!! lol

  • Why is Asafa so lazy????????

No matter what, if you're not injured, you sprint THROUGH the finish line in any championship race. He should have turned on the jets, instead of shutting it down, and this habit cost him individual Olympic medals in both '04 and '08 in the 100 meters.

Coach Steve Francis should have sent him to a sports psychologist a long time ago.

  • @devidia

this rule only applies for national/international level sprinters...noob sprinters like me cant run the 200m at 100% the whole way. xD
