Wenshan hot spring

The original hot spring bubbles out of a cave next to the Tasha river. The water is now piped into 2 pools hugging the river so more people can enjoy sitting next to a swiftly-moving river in a gorge surrounded by mountains. 10-03

The video starts with a view of the suspension bridge that leads to the stairs going down to the hot spring, then pans down to the edge of the hotter pool (the source is really hot and just beyond this pool in a cave), up the stairs, and then to the cooler pool. These pools hug the mountain, next to the river, and the video ends off with the rocks in the river. These are quite popular as you can sit in cold river water and feel currents of warm water overflowing from the hot spring area. The two white bits in the cooler pool are flat boulders to sit on.

This place no longer exists. An earthquake caused a cave in, and a person was killed. My brother & I tried to get in last year, but it was closed. I don't think its ever going to open again. That area is notorious for falling rocks, and the spring is right in the gorge.
