For those of you youngsters who were too young or pre-birth in 1985, That thing the billing guy was punching the keys of is called a typewriter. Calculators had fewer keys. Keys are those things on legacy devices like your mom's laptop computer. They are roughly analogous to the keys on your iPad, but you could actually feel them making it easy to type or "10-key" without looking at the keys. This efficiency of course was countered by insistence on typing out entire words. ROFLMAO
