On a recent visit to NOLA, I had a fantastic meal and one of the most entertaining waiters I've had in a LONG time, at the Red Fish Grill on Bourbon St. His name was "Ike" and his opening pitch was:
"Guys, I'm telling you, tonight you got to have the oyster stew, sometimes they hit on it and sometimes they don't, but tonight they hit on it. If they didn't I would tell you to choose the gumbo, but you need to go with the stew, cause IT IS RIGHT!"
What a great time!
