In 1989 some friends and I traveled from Boston to Macon, GA for the last show of the Green World Tour. We made our Athens "pilgrimage" on the way back. We stopped by Wuxtry's (open) and Walter's BBQ (closed). Amazing what some fans do because of these guys. Thanks for posting these amazing clips

I've watched this 100 times--great video. 1985 in Germany was a universe apart from 45 years earlier in Germany. 1940 Germany stood on top of the world. Soon they would invade the Soviet Union (Russia), and nearly finish it.

People who behaved in any way similar to Michael Stipe would not have lasted 10 minutes in that Germany.

Germany has come a long, long way. We Americans could learn a thing or two from them.
