I remember going to the "open house" here at KSC for Enterprise. I watched as she was lifted off the 747 on the mating/de-mating device then lowered onto the tarmac and then the 747 headed out to the runway. The pilot opened the cockpit window and hung this alien teddybear out the window. It was a memory I'll carry with me till I die. Wow were they off on the flight schedule seeing 26 flights by 1981. Challenger was flight 25 in 1986 and Columbia's first launch didn't take place till 1981
