Welterweight boxer Oscar Diaz has awakened from a coma. Diaz has been in the coma for two months after sustaining severe brain injuries during a bout in his native San Antonio. (Sept. 19)

Oh for gods sake, QUIT saying things should be banned because you don't like it. You know what should be banned are people who feel that if they disagree with something (ie sports) it should be banned. Wah wah, I hate the violence...THEN DON'T WATCH!! If violence isn't your thing fine...but fighting and violence have been a core human trait since the beginning. And quit saying sad & tragedy. This is a tragedy. I think the sport is asking too much of its participators. This is an example of greed, where people value money over human beings. He shouldnt have entered the ring in that condition anyone who knows boxing knows that this was coming from miles away. It is very predictable if u got a doctor (which is required by law) to check u before the fight. I say ppl over money! not the other way around.
