@tigreadroit Yes this version of Girl Talk was arranged by Billy May. Neal Hefti is the originator of the song. I'll take Hefti or May. They were both great.

Billy May as arranger?
Are you sure?
Hefti was himself a "genius" one and he did greats jobs with the Count Basie Band.

Yes the 60s, lots of great music from dance bands, sadly missed

This was the opening song for longtime Vancouver radio personality Jack Cullen's "Owl prowl" show.

@swt32567 Indeed! —But, hey —Billy's an arranger for all eras —Let us not forget his inaugural sojourn into the world of Frank —One of the greatest Sinatra albums ever —1957's "Come Fly With Me"...
This is the kind of song you need when you are in love and just feel elated that something so woderful is hapening to you. You can go skipping down the street without a care in the world.

This is the arrangement that Joanie Sommers sang Girl Talk to in the movie Harlow in 1965. What a song, what an arrangement, what an arranger Billy May & what a great era to be alive. The Sixties !
