When I was growing up, no one told me feed myself & heal my body. I was dependent on industry to eat and for medicines. This is a talk about coming home, eating the weeds, and eating dandelions. Dandelions are the poster child for the most trampled, targeted, and killed plant on lawns. But humans have used dandelions millions of years for food & healing. Weeds are the wild answer to free health care. Fresh organic local unprocessed doesnt have to be expensive; it grows for free. Weeds are free food. When the millionth person eats a dandelion, the world's going to change. Participate, get out in nature, and feel good. Find out how to go wild in your neighborhood. Tell us your stories. Go to www.joyfulbelly.com and click on dandelions.

about a week or two ago, i just went in my back yard picked some leaves, washed them and ate them with some oil, vinegar, soy sauce as dressing.
They were bitter as hell, but my mouth felt extremely clean after that.
And I read that the young leaves are not as bitter. So next time i might try just smaller leaves but i think i can handle the bitterness.
