MCW 2007- Pakistani Students Federation

Located in South Asia between Afghanistan, Iran, India and China, Pakistan is a small country with big history and rich culture. Its territory was a part of pre-partition British India, and has a long history of settlement and civilisation including the Indus Valley Civilisation. Most of it was conquered in the 1st millennium BCE by Persians and Greeks. Later arrivals include the Arabs, Afghans, Turks, and Mongols. Independent since 1947, the culture of Pakistan is ingrained by Islamic culture and traditions. The dialect of their official language, Urdu, is a merge of Persian, Turkish, and Arabic influence in South Asia. The variety of Pakistani music ranges from diverse provincial folk music and traditional styles such as Qawwali and Ghazal Gayaki to modern forms fusing traditional and western music. PSF @ York represents the Pakistani community at York University, and executes culture-based events, like basanti and chaand raat, to bring the culture of Pakistan alive at York. They also coordinate assistance programs, cultural and social events that develop and strengthen relations with the Pakistani community of Toronto & GTA.

its not pakistan student federation. it should be punjabi student federation. Either they should have performed only on urdu songs or they have stepwise performed on 4 main language of pakistan ie pashto, punjabi, sindhi and balauchi.
