Aoife - 'Mo Ghrá'sa, Mo Dhia' (My Love, My God)

Lyrics:

Curfá:
Ailelú, ailelú
Ailelú mo Shlánaitheoir
'S Tú mo Dhia, 's mé do ghiolla
Ailelú mo chroí go deo

Mo ghrá-sa, mo Dhia, mo ghárda, mo liaigh
Mo ghrá geal, mo Thiarna
Mo ghrá, mo Chríost, mo ghrá, mo chroí
Mo ghrá ar fad thú a Rí na glóire

(Curfá)

Mo ghrá-sa go h-úird, naomhtha id chúirt
Mo ghrá-sa do chroí is do cló geal
Mo ghrá-sa do thread, is fada do shead
Mo ghrá, mo shoilse, mo neart, mo Rí

(Curfá)

'S Tú mo Dhia, 's mé do ghiolla
Ailelú mo chroí go deo

English Translation:

Halleluia, halleluia
Halleluia, my Savior
You are my God, I am your servant
Halleluia my heart forever

My love, my God, my guardian, my rock
My fair love, my Lord
My love, my christ, my love, my heart
My love in full, You, my glorious King

(Chorus)

My love __, holy in your court
My love, your heart and your fair appearance
My love, your flock, long is your path
My love, my light, my strength, my king

(Chorus)

You are my God, I am your servant
Halleluia my heart forever

  • I love the worshipfulness of this song. Christ is truly worthy of our praise, and the author of this song knew that.

  • Lovely.

  • Aoife Ní Fhearraigh is truly the greates!

  • hillalu

  • Simply beautiful... I know I failed many times, but when I hear this song it makes my love for God deeper...

  • @brandenburg2388 Everything must be done to save something so beautiful. I think a civilization does best when it unites behind a single true culture. It will never die though, there will always be people to protect tradition and heritage.

  • @TheGhostofCasper I guess the Irish spirit lives on in the hearts of her sons and daughters.

  • @Aresolar690 what a pity indeed, mo chara. To see a uniquely rich culture that took well over 2 thousand years to developed, is being erased over these last few decades. Will Irish traditional music, folksongs and language fade away into oblivion, I really don't know but it is not too late to do something about it. We can multi this and that on other things but not on culture.

  • @brandenburg2388 A pity Irish heritage is being...erased. after all, the doctrine of multiculturalism dictates that other cultures supersede your culture.

  • Halleluia, halleluia Halleluia, my Savior You are my God, I am your servant Halleluia my heart forever ` ` My love, my God, my guardian, my rock My fair love, my Lord My love, my christ, my love, my heart My love in full, You, my glorious King ` Glory to YOU LORD GOD, KING OF KINGS!!!
