I set out to the barn that day with the intentions of riding Clue. Then, I saw what I was dealing with on the lunge. Folks, I know when I'm outclassed.

I was concerned that perhaps the saddle was the source of the unusually enthusiastic and nonstop bucking. Clue bucks with the best of them, but this was a bit over the top. Therefore, I removed the saddle. Clue appreciated this, as it allowed her to buck with increased enthusiasm.

Please note that I have no lunge whip--Clue was just randomly kicking up of her own accord. This is Clue being a six year old mare in spring; the good thing is, this shows me just how fabulous she is feeling. She was having a great time, and she ended up working HERSELF so hard that I couldn't see climbing aboard after that.

I personally adore her Arabian impression (high tail, high head, prancing). She did this one day on the lunge (sadly, when I was by myself, so no footage) with a beautiful, floaty extended trot and her tail completely folded over her back, nostrils flared. I think she's channeling some of the Arabians at her old haunt, Daisy Haven Farm. :)

Just when I thought the crazy was over, there was a loud "bang" from the feed room while I was cooling Clue out. (Note: the feed room door is that closed door in the opposite corner of that door that was open to the aisleway for part of the video--which we closed since it was part of what was setting her off.) I can say that I'm very glad I was leading Clue on my right, or else my mom would still be picking pieces of me out of her Epona shoes.

Thank you Mom for filming and capturing my mare being herself. :)
