The Central High School Capital Campaign

Central High School is the first public school in Philadelphia to have an Alumni Association initiate and be dedicated to the successful completion of a capital campaign to raise private funds for the enhancement of the school and its programs. Our most recent capital campaign started as a $100,000 renovation project of the Library and became a $12 million fund raising campaign, encompassing the Barnwell Library at the Dr. William King Communications, Research and Media Center, the Bernard Spain Conference Center, the Faculty Lounge, the Music Conservatory and the Information Technology Center.

The Alumni Association unveiled the beautiful state of the art Library, Conference Center and Faculty Lounge in May, 2005. With this amazing feat accomplished, sights are now focused on developing a new music conservatory and information technology center.

P.R.O.

Central has Provided the institution, professionals and rich history for education. It is the Responsibility for alumni to give something back to the school that helped carve their lives. Here is the Opportunity... the Library, Conference Center, Music Conservatory and Computer Wing will help endow the future for generations of students who like yourselves, simply ask for the tools to change the world.
