I think the video has allot to do with good and evil. He is haunted by his past life, and the past life represents himself as a shark, he feels this shark is overcoming him and keeps him from living his life, because he can't get over it. But then he finally confronts it, it takes allot of fight, he defeats it, and he is able to move on with his life, but at the very end we see a koala, upset at the fact he overcame his past demons, and I believe this is the devil, upset that he's defeated him.

In my interpretation the shark represented a demon from he's past that kept holding him back. Once he confronted the "shark" he was able to look forward in he's life. Great song and video
