Yuejia Sanshou and fun...

Some basic practical ideas with my students for Yuejia Sanshou and Basic Shuia ideas...

These ideas here are very raw in approach and energy, as I am refining myself via the practical practice. I use my students in a raw approach so they can get the basic foundations of the ideas and connected flow of the two people, by simple transmission through the playing. I allow them to use power and force if they catch me then great, its a learning process after all...

Many things happen at this stage a few are, I get to practice by appling and exploring, two, the student gets a good feel how to work the ideas, three, we both get a great workout and its loads of fun to boot... Plus there are to many benifits to list...

I use my students as training partners (not students with no skill) and as myself practicing ideas so i can learn deeper of the internal mechanisms and connections. What looks subtle, soft and flowery is nothing of the kind. I am around 5ft1 and 135 lbs, I cannot use power to do what I show, its logistics, size and strength, all which I just don't have... So then what do I use, duh...

Lately I am getting trashed on outside blogs and forums boards for what I do and show? and really what am I doing but trying to grow, help and better myself, and I get trashed for it by trolls.... Does it matter NO, do I care? A little...Can I please everyone? Was never my goal at all..

First I want to say thank you to all the positive people that leaves wonderful comments and send beyond nice emails... And all the questions I get, I try to answer everyone... Sorry if it take a while but there are a lot...

Second I put videos out there just for criticisms but constructive criticisms, of course I know people will write BS, whatever....

I am kind of tired of being trashed by so many critics that never show there stuff but only talk like paper tigers, and keyboard not-it-alls... You know constructive criticism is great but the kind that degrades a person by just watching a few videos is another thing. I mean I know I am no master but yet people persist to trash me, as if I am, I openly admit I am learning and people take it like i am being cocky in attitude... I say fuk off to these people, and grow up... Sheesh there demo vids and training vids...

Unless there are heads flying and blood gushing people will make critics like; "he knees wiggle and he has no inner power, he just looks soft and see he moves like a flower, he is not connected in movement, he doesn't do it like the style should look like (chen, bagua vids) and not like all the chinese masters that move so powerful, and the bullshit goes on and on..."...

I mean I even wrote in the Chen vid notes about what and why I feel about CMA/IMA ideas , why I stopped and train differently... and yet people take it twist it and attack me....

At least make a video response instead of hide in some forum and be a fuken man and show everyone the correct way of walking... I didn't know I suck so bad... Holy mother of bat shit, LOL... And none of them have ever met me...

I didn't know a pebble could cause a tidal wave...

I hope all enjoy objectively.

  • Mr Martello you look pretty good to me and surely on the net there aren't so many westerners showing stuff of this level. Please retain from stupid people who use their small-sized brains to make useless comments

  • huoyunlong; sorry for late reply; I don`t watch comments on my vids to often, apologies. Useless comments are just empty; as you say brains...

Thank You for your kind remarks about myself.. I really feel I am still not very good yet, there is so much room for improvements, hence why I train and train with students and partners alike. The feedback is so important for us to see our own faults from the inside out. Again thanks...

  • Very nice video on take downs and throws, I enjoyed it very much. I'm going to try that counter to a hip throw some time.

  • thanks for the comments, more to come on throws and take down practicing.

  • Mike in MMA arena...Go ahead sign up for a match. When was the last time youve seen your own blood?

  • 99, I grew up in NYC in the 70's, saw my my blood and others many times, time and time I say its not about the fight, whatever. MMA does not equal or mean a person is or is not a martial artist. Peace...

  • It's always a pleasure to watch videos from serious people training diligently at traditional martial arts. Of course there is always room for improvement but from my personal experience I would definitely say that that's the right path
