I agree with Honky Tonk Man on commentary during Wrestling on TV. Jerry Lawler and J.R., when they were awesome you really looked forward to the debates and opposite views they would have. The King has changed the most, he was always for the Heels, and he was witty, and engaged in the matches. He's so tame now, and he no longer picks fights with JR when they work together. I miss those days, JR and King used to be SO FUNNY together. The commentary definitely has an effect on me, a viewer.

Some people might not like Tenay, but he's definitely a fan of wrestling and knows the history of it, unlike a lot of the young guys WWE hires who can't even remember who held the title last year. Personally, my favorite combination was Heenan & Monsoon...

Probably because the Andy Kaufman movie went to his head and he thinks he's a big star now. That movie sucked anyway, I remember the events how they actually happened and it was nothing like that.

oooh yeah gorilla monsoon absolutly sold wrestling to the world, without gorilla i"m not sure the wwf and wrestling would have gotten elevated so quick the way it did in the early 80"s gorilla sold it to perfection and made you belive and when he teamed with ventura it made the most awesome commentating duo ever in the history of wrestling. nobody has ever match gorilla and the body for commentating and selling a wrestling event and never will.

Heenan + Schiavone = the best commentators for Nitro. Larry Zbyszko was another good one too, and the best interviewer was of course Mean Gene. I never liked Tenay's voice
