I talk about characteristics of Aspergers that I currently possess as an adult as well as childhood traits that went away, diminished, or were never there to begin with.
He still has his gifts as an apie, but no longer is obsessed with routine, gets the non-concrete, can socialize with peers (instead of hiding under his desk or cubby, no more melt downs...etc. .DO A HEAVY METAL DETOX NOW!!!. Buy some bentonite clay (any healthfood store) and take it with Epson salt baths..etc. Contact me..so much more to share....
I would love to chat with you. My son was diagnosed with Aspergers last year with ALL of your symptoms My heart hearts because I see my son in you. He is 8 1/2 now and has GREATLY improved and is improving everyday.
Like a person having to cope with a panic attach and talking themselves through it...You may find you need to take time to put your self in the right frame to not set your own self up for failure. You may find you have to take and reassess what is happening, put things into proper perspective & then reframe the thoughts in your mind and change the outcome you produce for better results for yourself. Make sense, if not write me and i will explain. angels1_4_u@yahoo.com.
One coping tip 2 consider w/work & negative situatons & being2serous. Take a moment & reframe thoughts. Realze that ur boss may b affected by other stimuli & not only his disappointmnt in somethng w/ u alone. Put things into proper perspective & take a momnt be4 reactng, this can save ur azz. If u take time 2 take things slower & digest what just hapened, u may find it isnt as bad as u are allowng ur mind 2let it get, take the intensty of the momnt & click it down 2 knotches & reframe & rethink.
i also think that any characteristics or symptoms that relate to people with aspergers all come back to and are based on stimulation. Assessing and then emplimenting anything dealing with stimulation in any way shape or form is the core of what aspergers is all about. I think that in order to cope with this condition you find you have to have your moments of peace and your moments of expressions, and they have to be the way YOU in particular need to have them!
i think aspergers is different for each individual and some are affected in more severe ways then are others. I do think that aspergers does affect parts of your brain. Depending on the parts of the brain affected, this determines what "symptoms" a person with aspergers has. To each person, their own afflictions of differenent schmorgusboard of symptoms. Again i thank you for your insight...i like i think many are very grateful of all you have given us!!
@perez6313 If you find an understanding partner, then a relationship can work, with some Aspies though they like their own space a lot,but if their partner is understanding it shouldn't be a probem, also there's things like the lack of expression and emotion the NT might find that difficult, they will feel unloved and confused and wonder if their Aspie partner really loves them etc.
You've verbalized that which I've never been able to explain to my wife. I was diagnosed @ 36 when my 2yr old son was also diagnosed. I became a truck driver (in a rural area) so that I could be alone with my thoughts and not be social. I have trouble even ordering a pizza. We are all different. I have limited interests but I'm really into that which I am interested in. Mainly philosophy. One piece of advice I feel comfortable giving is that it gets better as you get older. I was hopeless once.
My son is recovering for Aspergers.
