Great, but how come this thing is stock and yet so fast? I love tacomas, I have one, yet I can`t believe it cause all magazines say 7.8...7.5 secs to 60.

Is this a 4x4 or a 4x2? Double cab? access cab?

I just watched one with the TRD supercharger and it did in around 5.5-6.0 secs....so I keep wondering what happened here.

I have the stats in the info - 4x4 double cab. It is pretty quick, but the supercharged 4.0 is much more powerful. Also, there might be some discrepancies in the speedometer. My GPS illustrates a 3-5 mph variance, which could be why it seems so fast.

cuz my tacoma is a 2008 SR5 Prerunner one and 4x2 auto v6...ive never tried it yet, but i think i will soon :D

Yeah thats normal. I have 08 DC TRD OR and it is 6-7 seconds 0-60 mph. Stupid testers have said 0-60 all the way up to 10.2 seconds. Are you fucking kidding me? They probably pulled that out their ass or tested one straight out of the factory in 4 low. Lol.

This engine is AWESOME, I have a Tacoma to and a friend has a 4runner 4.0l V6 too, and he's doing 7 sec 0-60 too, wich is in league of much more expensive trucks.

Toyota is doing a superb job with their trucks and engines!

@monsoon56 Yeah, I think they had a supercharged 5.7 Tacoma for SEMA I believe. Just like how they had a turo diesel dually Tundra that will never make it to production.

@solterocr What Toyota needs to throw in as an option is the 4.6 v8 with the 6 speed auto or manual. That would be awsome, then the Tacoma could finaly beat a Tundra in a race. lol
