for me, pretty much all elf products work.
even the liner and eyelash curlers.
for the lash curler, i close my eye and put the curler on it, then open and push it into the crease a little to get as many lashed in it as i can. its very easy to use.

I had awful luck with the ELF gel liners. Really streaky, dry, and not very pigmented.. I'll take Maybelline HIP or MAC any day.

The elf eyeliner sucks. It is not pigmented enough and mine dried out so fast! I got a black and a brown and both are not pigmented enough and my black one dried out really fast. The brown one is still there, but it's getting dried out too, just slower.
