  • Anyone notice how 'Company' has seen more stagings than all of Sondheim's other works in recent years? Just today, the online NYTimes reported on an all-star version (Neil Patrick Harris, Patti LuPone, Martha Plimpton, Jon Cryer, et. al) is being made-for-TV/video. Even after forty-one years, the show's themes of loneliness, twin interlocking desires for freedom AND companionship, and eternal quest for self-acceptance still resonate for human beings.

  • Thanks for posting! Very interesting... Also, I laughed out loud when I noticed the guy at 2:57 was smoking and singing at the same time. Sign of the times, I guess.

  • DaveZX: Actually, this was made in early 1970, old timer. :) (Per album/CD liner notes.) Thanks for posting; great memories!

  • Thanks for posting this. Just bought the soundtrack the other day.
