This video shows the brand new Arriva Cross Country Super Voyager DMU 5 car unit, this model is in 00 scale and is made by Bachmann (32-628). As most of you may know that the cross country model is long delayed (Almost like the real thing).

In this video you will see the features of the train, not how the first class door labels are still in the Virgin Trains logos, I think this is a good feature. I would like to see Bachmann bring a Cross Country voyager in the Virgin sliver and red however have Cross country branding, just like most of the units were in November 2007.

We now can look forward to the Cross Country 4 car DMU, Which is to be release in (DEC/JAN- Please be advised these were the correct dates at time of publishing).

Also on the video is the box to this train, shame its not in cross country branding. However the atcal boxes are much better than the old style. They simple pop out, slde out and then clip out. There is a Virgin Trains Class 221 voyager next to this to give a little idea on the difference. (This is the New 32-627 Virgin Trains 'Doctor Who' Super Voyager).

I hope you enjoy the video, Please rate, comment and fave. Many Thanks
I would stress to people who do not like trains, models, Arriva XC not leave worthless time wasting comments on how they don't like it etc.

Please comment with your overall veiws on this model, i ahve tried by best to ensure the detail of the train was picked up by the camera. Thanks for watching.

  • @diamond19640 Not what am aware of, google it :)

  • @diamond19640 Hey, Sadly these are just dunny pieces of plastic at the front :( So there just for show :(:(

  • @swisstrainguy It's fairly straightforward to do the motor controls if you're handy with a soldering iron. A bit more tricky to do the lights in the dummy cars though as you have to fart around cutting circuits and rewiring. But for the motor car, then disconnect the existing wires from the motor terminals, which collect power from all wheels - and then connect those wires to the red and black on the dcc decoder. Then connect the grey and orange wires to the motor. And Bingo!!

  • @MrPianolaman well i dont have this particular voyager but im gunna need to have a look at its pick ups, it goes at the speed of a class 60!

  • @branchlinedisaster Thanks for the advice. I haven't tried. Haven't worked out how to with a Hornby Select unit - got an Elite on order, so will do then. But by improving the power contacts, it will perform better. I think some of these trains have shocking power transmission systems, which are very inefficient in gears and linkages or otherwise power pick-ups. My Bachmann Class 150 I tested - and found sparking around the axles - all lost power. I adapted the pick-ups and now it runs better.

  • @MrPianolaman have yo tried modifying the cv's ( control varieables ) that might help
