Just after the Cronulla Riots I got into a fight at Big Day Out in Sydney cause as I was entering the event and some dumb fucka was wanting me to kiss the flag and show I am Australian, my response was no because I don't have to be blindly nationalistic to show I love my country and that blind patriotism is something best left to right wing Americans. He then accused me of being Un Australian and I told him to fuck off the right wing racist cunt. Things then got a bit out of hand.

One day there'll be the Aboriginal flag in place of the Union Jack on the Aussie flag, and until that day it's best to show one's pride in Australia in other ways, eg, getting shit-faced drunk.

I'd love to celebrate an Australia day watching Pauline Hanson, John Howard, Kevin Andrews, Philip Ruddock, Peter Reith, Alexandra Downer, Amanda Vanstone all being loaded into a crate on a Hercules and being flown out to anywhere 1,000's of miles away. I'd gladly stand on the taxi way of the runway with a green flag or w'ever. That would be the beginning of a real celebration. @bigswano If you're talking about the flag, I wasn't trying to say it was my idea, it was in the space/horror film "Event Horizon" too. I liked the look in that movie, but someone has pointed out that the designer is against the Aboriginal flag being used in other flags, so it's a moot point.
