Today's video will quickly show you how to set your power options of windows vista to high performance mode instead of energy saving mode. This is a great way to speed up your computer especially if it is a laptop. Typically laptops are configured for power saver mode and shut down or cap the processors capabilities in order to preserve energy levels. For those of you who are trying to run high processing tasks this can bring your computer to an unusable halt. We don't want that, do we? I didn't think so - this is a completely optional adjustment for performance increase.

  • Hello, I have a problem with this and I'm using PC Desktop. So when I select high performance, my PC makes a noisy sound. It's like something moving really quick. So I wonder what's going on and the solution for this. Thank you.

  • @rcpsalan It sounds like it kicks your fan speed on your graphics card up to full speed to compensate for the graphical increase. This is normal.
