Welcome to the first topic on Stalins Coffee House, and its a big one, human nature. In this first segment I talk about why I cant accept the Humans are evil view of human nature. I site some common sense examples as well as some personal examples then move into talk about a very important experiment, the Milgram experiment, as a part of my argument that the main reason people do evil things is because we are told to do them from an authority figure.

  • To understand why people think, that everyone is born evil, read about Thomas Hobbes.

He is the person, who invented "liberalism" and the thought of the evilborn human is explained there.

    Its a load of bull.

  • That's actually a very logical thinking. I myself do question what people concern evil and what not.

  • I would say humans are not "evil". Rather we are arrogant towards each other and nature, ignorant towards the impacts we have on our surroundings, and rely too much on basic instincts instead of logic. Obviously this doesn't apply to all of humanity but to a good amount of it.

  • I agree with all your videos (that i have seen) and viewpoints and am a socialist... I take it you may be as well is this true?

  • Good video, i agree.

  • the majority of humans are much like chimpanzees...they think illogically, they let emotions rule over them, they are violent tyrants, and very few of them question the stupidity of theyr culture...this is why democracy is a horrible choice for the world...put yourself in a room full of chimps, youll learn quickly the real meaning of democracy...it doesnt matter how right, good, or smart you are...the mob will over-rule you...this is why the world is harsh and unjust ...generally speaking

  • "It's ok to go an murder somebody, because that's who we are." No, I don't think they would say that. For them, we can never fully get rid of our base instincts, so we have to control them as best we can. Individuals are both morally responsible and biologically predetermined in this conservative argument.

  • There is no Good and Evil In nature and the Universe,People made this up.Evil Compared to what?

  • you look sweaty.

  • (6) that however doesn't take away the fact that they are accountable. (To all readers please read my ENTIRE comment before commenting on any one part of it otherwise it makes little sense.)
