It sounds like the Greens are against the European Union but when the Lisbon Treaty (European Constitution) was up for a vote in Ireland the Greens supported it. Lucas is just playing to a lefty type voter but look at Greens elsewhere in Europe when they are in power. They are no different that the establishment parties. They are just power hungry charlatans. They don't want to replace the "old orthodoxy" they want their snouts in it's trough. They are politicians first and politicians are liars

@Tiwaz87 That might be true in your case, but my consumption amounts to human progress and I will not abandon one single freedom in the name of any bogus saving the planet religion masquerading an authoritarian agenda. There are no "looming catastrophes" except the ones engineered by elites who want more profit and control. The worst combination I have seen in my life which leads to the ultimate nanny state is women and communism. And here is a diehard commie pretending to care about the planet just so she can reduce the meaning of your life to a basic carbon footprint that needs to be controlled, reduced, or even killed off.
