You never know when any battle in EVE will become a lagfest no matter improvements CCP says they've made. It sucks to be pounding on some guy, never having been targetted by anyone, then screen freeze and you're in station in your clone pod. So, always be prepared, turn all reppers/boosters on if you're cap stable with them.
