Healer's POV on Grand Widow Faerlina 10 man

This fight can be really hard if you have dumb DPS along. Make sure you have people that know what and when DPS. (no, we didnt have this problem in our runs)

Faerlina does 3 things: 1st Poison volleys, which can be cleansed, having a Shammy with theyr poison cleansing totem is very nice. Other than that I would not reccomend to cleanse it since in 10 man its not hard to heal through it. 2nd she will do a Rain of Fire (no need to explain here right?). 3rd and most importantly, she will go into Frenzy. This will happen approximately every 6080 seconds. It will increase Grand Widow Faerlina's physical damage by 150%, her melee haste by 50% and her size by 50%. During it she will hit the tank for upwards of 15,000 damage. Widow's Embrace dispels and prevents the use of this ability for 60 seconds.

You can try your skills as a tank DPS and heals and ignore the frenzy but I would not reccomend it unless everyone has AT LEAST a full T7 gear.

There are two main ways of interrupting the Frenzy. The first and most easy one is to kill one of her worshippers. When the frenzy is about to come off cooldown (10 secs or so) every DPS should stop all DPS and switch target to the worshipper marked to kill. Do not start attacking it yet, just target it and be in range for attacks. The main tank should go where the OT is, the closer the better, taking Faerlina with him because she must be within range in order to be Soothed down. The Offtank should have lowered the worshipper's health to 15% or less. As soon as she goes into Frenzy, all DPS burn the worshiper down and then go back to Faerlina. Do that until she is dead.

An alternate way to do this is, when the frenzy is about to come off cooldown a priest (preferably a shadow priest, in order to avoid a resist since healers got no hit rating) will mind control one of the Worshippers and move it near Faerlina then use Widow's Embrace when frenzy is cast.

And thats the whole fight from 100% to 0%

I've done her on 25 man. Its a little bit harder indeed. You would rather need a priest to MC one of the worshipers, get near Faerlina and cast Widow's Embrace on her. That will sacrifice the worshiper and then the Priest can pick the next in line.

In our 25 runs we have a dedicated priest for that purpose.
