I have never eaten Whale or Dolphin as a Japanese. Japan would never do that, they have other accumulating problems they need to face, and they won't waste it on the whaling industry where the demand is really small. It's just unfair how these westerners keep bashing and ranting on japan. Before talking about Japan, I wish you guys face what you have done to animals. Is it just Japan that kills animals, or animals that are considered "intelligent"?

YEs it is true that we have not had a perfect past we have learnt from our mistakes and we stopping killing these creatures a long time ago. Now we can only hope Japan will do the same. I said that the demand is really small, I didn't say that we never eat. It's just I guess there are a lot more other countries who do whaling, and my question is why does SS only bash on Japan. I'm guessing its because Japan never rebels and the fact that they are calm. to me its like a middle school bullying. If SS really wanna save the earth they should have other stuff too, not just Japan. French foagras, Spanish bull-fighting, russian whaling, this is current issue.

@lolokooza There are not many countries that take the amount that Japan takes, also included in that is dolphins. If you do look into SSCS they have many issues with many other countries, and you will see this on Whale wars and other public programs soon.

Its hard for me to compare bull fighting (still not good), with the killing of a thousand whales and many thousands of dolphins each year. Stop the killing and then SSCS can move onto the other countries.

I find it discusting that japan keeps whaling and claim it's for science. how many whales and dolphins do they need to kill each year for science? These beautiful creatures are so close to extinction and it'll be a sad day when they finally become extinct. I've seen footages of them slaughtered on youtube and it makes me feel so sick.

@TrueBlueAustralian...Japan is using money from it's supplemental budget to support whaling? Really? So what? It's THEIR money in the first place. It's not money donated from another country. It's not YOUR money. Every year, the International Whaling Commision issues whaling permits to Japan ( and Norway and Iceland too, among other countries). And YES those permits ARE for whaling in the Antarctic Whale Sanctuary.

The　way they are trying to stop whaling is cruel and disturbing, there is a youtube video where they are distracting the hunters inhumanly. By the way I have never eaten dolphin or whale meat nevertheless seen it.

I'm trying to say why SS keep on criticizing only on Japan. I know they go to the faroe island and stuff but they never bash, unlike Japan where they are just doing it for fun. I'm saying they are extremists. This issue is also about racism.
