@willieofroanoke The kid didn't even say anything about it being someones eles fault so where do you get off lecturing people about how dangerous it is??
They said he's lucky to be alive,which you can't argue with that fact.
Ive been hit by a car too.It sucks but depending on how and where car hit you decides what injuries you got away with.
This kid was lucky and I doubt he'll be stupid enough to do this again.

Where I live all the side streets twist and turn and there's gentle hills, plenty of blind spots especially in summer with trees and shrubs fully leaved out. The simple fact is drivers can't always see some dummy on a shakeboad, most likely go down the middle of the street and sooner or later one is going to get seriously hurt or worst. I'm not against shakeboarding, but you are taking your own life in your hands doing in dumb places and many do.

Well, I was hit by a car. Twice. So I know what it is like. Actually far worse than this little bump. The first time I was about 10, last day of school, already one foot on the curb, hit by speeding car, was knocked 20 feet up into the air like a rag doll according to eye witnesses.
Kids neither have the mental or emotional capacity of adults. THAT is why they do stupid things, not thinking about what could happen.
